House Market is hot! July Real Estate Sales

The house market is hot and 2026 continues to bring strong momentum to the California housing market. California’s real estate market remains highly competitive for both sellers and buyers. A recent Zillow report noted that California’s housing market surpassed $9.24 trillion in total value, making it the most valuable housing market in the country — accounting for more than a fifth of the nation’s entire market volume at 21.3 percent.

The house market is hot and California’s housing market has posted some of its strongest performance in over a decade, even as home sales volume fluctuates from month to month. Home prices in California have seen some modest shifts depending on the region. CAR (California Association of Realtors) reports that despite signs of softening in certain segments, California’s housing market continues to outperform historical averages, with many areas still seeing significant year-over-year price gains.
