Walnut Acres is a prestigious area in Woodland Hills with many properties that have large lots. In 2018 many residents have petitioned the city to have a portion of the area officially named Walnut Acres Estates, saying that it reflects the history of this local area. Other residents are resisting this division saying that it will hurt property value and they are petitioning to make the name Walnut Acres cover a larger area.
